εὐχαριστέω (Thankful not expectant)

feeding five thousand

He took the seven loaves and the two fish, gave thanks, broke them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the five thousand. They all ate, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.

I am thankful for the breath within me, the unconditional love others show me, and the opportunity to share a conversation with people around me.

Breath, unconditional love, and conversation are the two fish and five loaves of bread I am thankful for, in return after the meal I have more than I expected, I am blessed with many friends, a family who loves me, and a G-d who forgives all my shortcomings, who loves me just as I am.

As Brother Ron becomes filled with the fruit of the spirit may I never forget the pain of hunger.
