Many countries throughout the world build monuments in dedication to the service of unidentified soldiers and to the common memories of all soldiers killed in any war.

Now about the “All Saints Day”:

The exact origins of All Saints Day is uncertain, although, after the legalization of Christianity in A.D. 313, a common commemoration of the saints, especially the martyrs, appeared in various areas throughout the Church.

In the West, a commemoration for all the saints also was celebrated on the first Sunday after Pentecost. The primary reason for establishing a common feast day was because of the desire to honor the great number of martyrs.

Simply, there were not enough days of the year for a feast day for each martyr and many of them died in groups. A common feast day for all saints, therefore, seemed most appropriate.

Around the world there are unknown solders graves, as humans we do not want to forget any one’s sacrifice. We build monuments in dedication to the service of unidentified soldiers, to the common memories of all soldiers killed in any war.

The witnessing body does not want to forget any of those who came before, the ones who were willing to give their lives for what they believed.

The people who stood firm with the hope of the eternal life in the age to come, who willingly gave their lives for their faith.
